Gil Russell began his career at Roberts Commercial Real Estate Services, a small, entrepreneurial, full service commercial real estate firm as a sales and leasing agent in 2005. At Roberts Commercial, Gil specialized in leasing, sales and acquisitions of office, medical and industrial assets.  During his time at Roberts Commercial, Gil represented Roberts owned assets, third party owners, and tenants.  During his six plus years with Roberts, Gil grew the company’s portfolio of listings by 750% and completed over 300 transactions.  Some of his most notable clients were CW Capital, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, First Colony Financial, and Kaufman Group, to name a few.

In 2011, Gil joined Ackerman & Co. as a Vice President of Brokerage, where again he specialized in the leasing, sales and acquisitions of office, medical and industrial assets that were both company and third party owned. At Ackerman, Gil was responsible for the marketing, advertising, proposal, lease and LOI preparation, lease and acquisition negotiations and acquisition strategy of the properties he represented.  He also oversaw budgeting, monthly reporting, tenant construction, tenant relations and investor relations. While at Ackerman, Gil represented a portfolio of properties totaling some 1.5 million square feet and completed over 300 transactions totaling over $40 million in volume.

In 2017, Gil left Ackerman & Co. and joined the Industrial Development Team of Omnitrax, Inc., a shortline railroad company based in Denver, Colorado. At Omnitrax Gil was focused on the development of industrial product along 4  existing shortline railroads in the southeast and the greenfield development of a world class industrial park and shortline railroad in Savannah, Georgia. Here Gil was responsible for marketing sites, managing brokerage teams, managing relationships with the Georgia Ports Authority, Georgia Department of Economic Development, Effingham County Industrial Development Authority and other local economic development authorities, various site selection consultants and 2 Class 1 railroads in CSX and Norfolk Southern, GRAD Certification for the Savannah site, predevelopment site work and budgeting and internal reporting.

While at Omnitrax, the opportunity to join the Cone Middour Partners team presented itself and Gil returned to brokerage of commercial real estate. Gil is focused on leasing, acquisitions and tenant representation for office, medical and industrial property types. He leverages his brokerage and development experiences along with in depth market knowledge to offer his clients a unique and comprehensive approach to acquisitions, leasing and tenant representation. Following the transition, he assumed the role of Senior Vice President for Cone Commercial Real Estate.
